About Us

Who we are

Every day we wake up, cheat death, then find a hotel.

The Pho Bros Scooter Club was formed in a Backpackers hostel in 2014 by friends, Jordan Bews and Sam Owen. The club’s first adventure: a 2000km journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. This inaugural trip in July 2014, completed by 17 club members over 10 nights, tested their endurance on Vietnam’s mean highways, proving the venture to be far from a leisurely ride.

Since then, the club has grown to over 30 fully patched members, riding thousands of kilometers across Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Membership is exclusive, requiring a nomination from an existing member, an audition video, and a majority vote from patched members.
The club’s first tours revealed the harsh living conditions in some of the countries visited. Motivated by these experiences, The Pho Bros initiated charity drives, starting with a successful collaboration with Life Project Cambodia. This effort raised $25,000, directly benefiting 25 students by covering their school fees and accommodations for a full year.

Reflecting on the club’s philanthropic work, President Jordan Bews remarked, “We had an opportunity to help these communities insted of just leaving a trail outrageous bar tabs in our wake. It made the journey much more fufilling and easier to explain to our partners”

As The Pho Bros approach their 10-year anniversary tour in Vietnam, they aim to replicate and expand upon their previous charitable achievements, continuing to blend their passion for riding small effeminate bikes with a commitment to positive change in the communities that welcome us.

Nominations are now open for new riders to join the September mission to Vietnam, marking the 10-year anniversary of the first tour of Vietnam. This upcoming adventure offers a unique opportunity for newcomers to be part of a significant milestone in the club’s history, continuing the legacy of exploration and philanthropy established over the past decade.
